On 23 September 1988, Knowledge Khanye, a pure ZIm-Midlander who was born in Ngungumbane in Mberengwa. He grew in the asbestos town of Zvishavane and attended Siboza and Shabanie Mine for his primary level, then Zvishavane High and Ngomeyebani for his ordinary level. He proceeded to Mandava High for his advanced level before venturing into the music industry. As he grew, he participated much in church choirs and praise team and says his maternal side has the strength for music. At school, he could lead songs at assembly, in class and participated in school choirs as well. Humorously, he sang soprano and excelled more than girls and this became an unexpected strength.

He left for Masvingo where he began to write songs with Isaac Manyathela, Cara Mugadziwa, Tafara Mugadziwa and Praise Murire. The group could perform in church but didn’t record. He left for Guruve and formed another group as well. In 2015, Khanye entered the music industry with his debut album Ishe Wemadzishe which had six tracks. He then released another album in 2017 titled Kutaura Nemi which had 8 tracks. 2018 had two singles Wozani and a wedding song titled Chikondi. In 2020 Khanye released two more singles, Bambelela and Ejipita. We can agree that Khanye has a unique voice and sound in the industry. He has made several collaborations with other artists and looks forward to do more. The musician is still going on with music and says there is a lot coming up.

Besides being a gospel musician, Knowledge Khanye is into media as a radio presenter, journalist, news anchor, brand ambassador, youth mentorship and MC services.
